Gilding Wax is a quick and easy way to add a metallic touch to your painted furniture. Apply to ornate carvings and mouldings to enhance texture and detailing or create gilded shapes, lines and designs using your favourite Annie Sloan Stencil.
The colours are: warm gold, bright gold, bright silver, dark silver and copper.
Get started:
Squeeze a small amount of Gilding Wax onto a lint-free cloth. A little goes a long way, so start sparingly. Gently apply the Gilding Wax onto the surface, allowing some of the paint below to show through; this creates a distressed look. To cover the surface more densely, add a little more Gilding Wax. If you apply too much, don’t worry, simply remove it by wiping on a little clear Chalk Paint Wax with a clean, lint-free cloth. Buff the following day for more lustre.
Aftercare:
Wash hands and brushes with warm water and soap immediately after us. Results may vary depending on previous treatment of surface. Always test on a small area first. To maintain your finish wash with mild soapy water and a soft damp cloth. Not recommended for areas with a lot of water. Not suitable for outdoor use.
